DaniLeigh Brushes Off Rumors She Used to Date Prince, Gushes Over Their Friendship

When opening up about her relationship with the late star, Dani details how she ended up directing the music video for his 2013 song ‘Breakfast Can Wait’.

AceShowbizDaniLeigh has made it clear that there was nothing romantic between her and Prince. During her appearance on “The Breakfast Club”, the “Easy” singer gushed over her friendship with the late star.

“He was amazing. I was really super cool with him. I used to run his Instagram. Princestagram? That was like, my first job,” the 27-year-old said. “And I used to post pictures and like, make the captions… He would just send me the picture.”

Asked how she met Prince, DaniLeigh divulged that “he found [her] online.” She added, “I used to do Vine a lot and he used to like my Vines… I had a song with Prince, I directed a video for Prince, that was really crazy.”

“When did he finally pick up the phone and call you and say, ‘Hey, I want you to come [and] direct this video?’ ” Charlamagne Tha God asked Dani. In response, she revealed that two former dancers of the late icon reached out to her via email saying, “Prince, the artist, wants you to submit a video of you dancing to his song.”

“So I did the choreography and I sent it to him,” DaBaby’s ex-girlfriend further recalled. The next thing Prince did was asking her to “direct the video” for his 2013 song “Breakfast Can Wait” and “write a treatment.”

Dani famously dated DaBaby, with whom she shares a young daughter together. The now-exes made headlines in November last year after they were caught having an altercation while she’s feeding their baby daughter. Dani later claimed that the rapper kicked her and their child out of the house so that he could hook up with other women.

DaBaby called cops on Dani that night, claiming that his baby mama struck him. While she’s not arrested at that time, police were called again to the emcee’s house in response to a report of a disturbance on the next day. She has since been charged with two counts of simple assault.
