Chris Harrison Returned to Instagram for the First Time Since His Bachelor Nation Exit

Chris Harrison is baaaaack.

The 50-year-old former face of Bachelor Nation broke his Instagram silence this weekend with his first post since his exit from the Bachelor franchise became official earlier this summer.

Appropriately, for a guy whose claim to fame was spending the better part of the last 20 years as the unofficial referee of the love Olympics, Chris’ return to IG was a celebration of his relationship.

Chris penned a tribute to his girlfriend, Lauren Zima, in honor of their anniversary, and also shared several pictures highlighting their rose-worthy love.

“Another incredible trip around the sun with this beautiful woman,” he wrote in the post’s caption. “@laurenzima I love you for your wisdom, strength, vulnerability, theatrics, compassion, advice, laughter, grace…your love. The only woman that can remain chic as sh*t while doing a Voldemort impersonation. I love you LZ Happy anniversary! Can’t wait to see what the next trip around the sun brings us ❤️.”

The pictures are all very Bachelor-y, but the last image—of Chris holding Lauren while they stand on a beach and watch the sun set on the horizon—is straight out of a Fantasy Suite week fever dream.

The post is Chris’ first since news broke that his exit from hosting The Bachelor and The Bachelorette was permanent earlier this summer, several months after his controversial interview with former Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay in which he defended then-contestant Rachael Kirkconnell, who was facing racism allegations at the time.

In a June 8 post, the former host addressed the news (but not the larger context), writing, “I’ve had a truly incredible run as host of The Bachelor franchise and now I’m excited to start a new chapter. I’m so grateful to Bachelor Nation for all of the memories we’ve made together. While my two-decade journey is wrapping up, the friendships I’ve made will last a lifetime.”
