The TV star shares on Instagram that she gave birth to her baby boy with Tanner Tolbert while ‘clutching a bench in our closet,’ 75 minutes after her water broke.
AceShowbiz -There are cases when mothers are unable to deliver their babies at the hospital like what most people do, and Jade Roper is among them. The “Bachelor in Paradise” star welcomed her second child, a baby boy, with her co-star Tanner Tolbert on Tuesday, July 30, but there was a shocking backstory behind the delivery. Weighing 7 lbs., 9oz, the little bundle of joy was born inside a master closet.
Jade took to Instagram to detail her delivery, revealing that it was an accidental home birth. “I’ve been still processing the shock of this all, as this was not all at what I had planned, but I am so so thankful for each person who helped bring out son into the world safely,” she said on the photo-sharing site, recalling the moment when her water broke at their Southern California home.
She went on sharing that she gave birth to her baby boy 75 minutes after that, while “clutching a bench in our closet.” Jade added, “It was one of the scariest moments of my life because I felt so out of control, but Tanner, Tanner’s mom, my mom and the medics and firefighters kept me going when I felt like the world was caving in on me and my unborn baby.”
“I was going to share the happy, cute Instagrammable pics first, but this felt right to me,” the TV star concluded. “So incredibly grateful for the support system we had and for this beautiful boy I get to hold in my arms.”
Jade, who also shares 1-year-old daughter Emerson Avery with Tanner, had been keeping her fans up-to-date throughout her pregnancy journey. Ever since she announced that she was expecting back in January, the now-mother-of-two often posted pictures of her baby bump and opened up about her fears and concerns over juggling two kids.
Alongside a photo of her cuddling with Emerson, she admitted to feeling “really low, unsure and doubting myself, how am I actually supposed to be able to handle all this with two children?” She also said that even though she loves “my babies more than anything,” she isn’t “really sure this facade of balancing it all truly exists when you’re a mom.”
